Game Play (Standard Tennis Rules)
All matches must be played in accordance with the standard rules of tennis.
This includes:
- Standard point scoring (15, 30, 40, game)
- Correct service rotation and service rules
- Ball calls made fairly by players on their side
- Adherence to general tennis etiquette and sportspersonship
No modifications are made to the way tennis itself is played—only the league scoring system differs
League Format
- The league consists of 8 pairs of players.
- Each pair must play every other pair once over an 8-week season.
- Matches are to be arranged mutually between pairs.
Match Conditions
- The playing surface (e.g. hard, clay, grass, indoor) must be agreed upon by both pairs prior to the match.
- Matches should be played in a spirit of fairness, flexibility, and enjoyment.
